FAQ

When are tryouts?

Youth Boys/Girls

We typically hold one tryout for bantam and youth and teams. These are held in late August or early September and the spot on the team is from September to the last tournament in June or July.

HS Boys

Our HS teams are by invitation only. We form teams twice each year – in August for fall tournaments and in February for summer tournaments.

HS Girls

We typically hold one tryout for the high school girls teams. These are held in late August or early September and the spot on the team is from September to the last tournament in June or July.

As a youth player, how will I know if I made a team?

All players will receive an email to notify them of their tryout results. This email will include a registration link and a payment deadline. If you do not receive an email within one week of tryouts, please contact the coordinator for your grade.  For all girls teams, please contact Molly Ford- molly@c2clax.com

As a HS player, how can I be considered for a team?

If you would like to be considered for a team, please contact Sherri Arvin, the HS Boys Coordinator, or Molly Ford, the HS Girls Coordinator, for more information.

How do I reserve my spot on the team?

The only way to secure your spot on a team to which you have been invited is to complete registration and initiate the payment process (either pay in full or set up a payment plan).

How do I get a uniform?

Our uniforms are fully sublimated, custom pieces. We order twice each year – September and March. We try to keep a few extra pieces on hand for players who miss the order window, but this is not guaranteed.

Can I choose my number?

We realize this is a BIG deal for some players. Therefore, we ask for three number options at registration. We assign numbers based on seniority with C2C. If your number isn’t already being worn by an existing member on your team, it’s yours!

How do you handle travel?

Youth Boys/Girls

We require all of our younger players to travel with a parent or another C2C family. You are responsible for getting your player to the event the night before play begins and to and from all games. C2C will reserve a block of hotel rooms for our teams so that everyone can stay in the same place. You will be responsible for booking your own room within this block. We ask that you arrange your return flight as late as possible on the day tournament play ends, preferably after 7:00pm if possible.

HS Boys

Our HS Boys are chaperoned by coaches.  Parents are not required to travel.  They are only responsible for getting their player to the airport for check-in and picking them up upon return.  C2C will notify the team of the flight on which the coaches will be traveling so that you can book accordingly.  If that flight does not work for you (schedule conflict, fare difference, etc.) and your son/daughter does not require a chaperone, you can book him/her on any flight you like.  If you want them to use team transportation to and from the airport, their arrival and departure need to coordinate with the team flights.

Hotel rooms are included in the tournament fee.  We put two players in each double room.  We will also set aside a block of rooms for parents who make the trip and would like to stay at the team hotel.  We will send the booking information via email and you will be required to book all parent rooms individually.

Each HS coach drives a 10-12 passenger van at the tournament.  This provides ample room to transport players and their bags to and from the airport and games.

HS Girls

Our HS Girls are required to make their own arrangements to the tournaments.

What tournaments will we participate in?

Our tournament schedule varies each year. C2C is committed to giving your player the absolute best experience and development possible. To that end, we are always researching opportunities to put our players on the field against the best players in the country at their age-group.

Where can I buy C2C spirit wear?

C2C spirit wear is available year-round on the website www.c2cgear.com through our partner, J. Paul Company.

Who do I contact if I have a question about my child’s team?

Matt Mueller is the Coordinator of the Dallas Youth Boys Teams. He can be reached at matt@c2clax.com or 518-524-6339.

Sherri Arvin is the Dallas HS Boys Coordinator. She can be reached at sherri@c2clax.com or 214-546-3334.

Molly Ford is the Dallas Girl’s Program Director. She can be reached at molly@c2clax.com.

Faith Richards is the Dallas Girl’s Assistant Program Director. She can be reached at faith@c2clax.com.

Who do I tell if my child has to miss practice?

As the premier lacrosse club in Dallas, C2C must be the priority for each club member. Players are committing to every practice, warm up and game at all tournaments in which the club is participating.  If a player chooses to play with another club and misses any practices, warmups, or games to do so, that player cannot expect to receive the same playing time or recruiting expertise as the players dedicated solely to C2C.  This being said, we encourage all players to play with their community and school teams outside of C2C. We understand that in doing so that there may be conflicts and we ask for advance notice of any foreseeable conflicts.  Please contact/alert the appropriate coach for your child’s team if your player will not be able to make practice.

What if my email address changes?

Please log into your C2C account and update your profile.
